Having taken advice, we have outlined below how Fine Art International meets compliance requirements as laid down by the ICO. We are always open to comments regarding this statement and will always take seriously and act on any issues that are brought to our attention.

Email Marketing Activities
Our main route to market is by monthly email marketing campaigns. Described below are all the relevant issues and explanation of the aspects that apply to GDPR compliance.

  1. Legitimate Interest – our products are only of interest to specific market areas. We therefore will only email customers within a specific market area about products that are relevant to them.
  2.  Companies and Limited Liability Organisations. The ICO does not require the same level of compliance when emailing these types of organisation in any case.
  3. Partnerships and Sole Traders. Compliance is covered by Legitimate Interest as described in 1 above.
  4. Private Individuals. We do not email private individuals unless they have asked us to use their private email addresses instead of their normal business addresses. In any case compliance is covered by Legitimate Interest as described in 1 above.

Email Marketing Operations

Outlined below are a list of policies that are defined and carried out by the Fine Art International Ltd. This is with regard to all aspects of email marketing from an operational point of view.

  1. Unsubscribe – emails sent during an email campaign will have an unsubscribe option. If this is selected the client will not receive further emails from our company.
  2. Removal – clients who request to be removed from our database will have all their details deleted accordingly.

Database Handling

We keep data based on Company information. This will include details of individuals who work for the company. The information held about the individual will only be their name and company email address, unless they have volunteered their own personal email address for legitimate use. We treat data in three categories:

  1. Canvassing Data – these are email addresses only which are used during direct email marketing campaigns. This data will never be passed on to a third party.
  2. Prospect Data – these are companies who have shown interest in our products. We then will keep contact details and information concerning which products are of interest. This information will only be used by ourselves or our agents for the sales process.
  3. Customer Data – these are companies who have bought our products. We then will keep contact details and information concerning which products they have bought and when. This information will only be used by ourselves or any agents for client management purposes.

Reasonable Expectations

All the information and processes described above, is in our opinion what companies and individuals would think of as reasonable expectations. This being the case our activities and policies are GDRP compliant.
